In the spring of 2024 the Assisi Arts Community hosted a series of events inspired by creation. St. Francis of Assisi saw the goodness of God manifested through all of creation, and left us the heritage of the beautiful Italian poem, Canticle of the Creatures.

 

Over the course of the series, we explored this theme in literature, cinema and the visual arts. In particular, we hosted three watercolor workshops with Raquel Kueffner, each focusing on subjects from nature, as well as a plein air outing.
