Clare of Assisi: The First Franciscan Woman - A Lecture w/ Sr. Margaret Carney

St. Clare of Assisi knew when she heard Francis preach that she wanted to be part of his new program to make the Gospel a real “word of life for all Christian people.” She joined his project and groups of dedicated women joined them—finally becoming the Order we call the “Poor Clares.”
